Sure, most of us have thought about quartz countertops, but what about quartz kitchen flooring?
Cosentino®, the parent company of the brands Silestone® and Dekton®, makes very sturdy flooring that withstands daily kitchen traffic. When compared to more traditional coverings like laminate, wood, or porcelain, it’s much more durable. This means very simple maintenance and a lasting shine.
But, isn’t a shiny floor also a slippery floor? Not when we use Dekton Grip+. Dekton Grip+ is designed for areas that require a non-slip surface. Dekton slabs are modified in a controlled manner which yields a uniform surface with a pleasant feel.
If you are considering a kitchen with a modern or industrial design, Silestone and Dekton are excellent choices because of their large available slab size. Their normal slab size is 55″ x 120″. Jumbo slabs are 63″ x 128″ (22% larger), which is ideal for flooring applications. In flooring, as in countertops, the less seams, the better.

Should you be looking for a more traditional, tile-pattern floor, or one with multiple colors, Silestone is available in five sizes (12″ x 12″, 18″ x 18″, 12″ x 24″, 12″ x 35″, and 24″ x 24″) and three thicknesses (1.2cm, 2cm, and 3cm).

If you are considering tile flooring, or have never considered it, give us a call, or contact us, and we’ll tell you all about it.
