A kitchen and bath remodel can be a huge undertaking, especially when either or both will be out of commission for days or weeks. We’ve found that having a detailed checklist really helps.
Our friends from Medallion Cabinetry have created a handy, four-page checklist for you to use to to plan your remodel and check on the progress during your project. You can find the checklist here!
Before your kitchen and bathroom remodel, use this checklist to identify major and minor problems with your existing rooms and to keep notes of the features you like and dislike as you look at ideas. This way, when it comes time to sit down with your designer, they’ll know your needs, taste, and style. Start by thinking about the details in your existing kitchen and bath and what you’d like to either keep or change during the remodel. Keep in mind that sometimes it is easier to pick out things you dislike than to try to understand what you do like. If that is the case, a designer can help you translate your style based on a list of things you dislike and a couple of specifics that you enjoy.
The checklist is divided into sections where you can inventory your needs and wants for your kitchen and bath. Some our obvious, such as what is your budget and completion date. Others, like your willingness to change the location of doors and windows, might not be so obvious.
